Video Laryngoscope: Neonatal Intubation

   

In this collaboration with the the UC San Diego Medical Center's Division of Neonatology, we aimed to create a video laryngoscope suitable for intubation of extremely low birth weight babies. The device had to be very small, while still allowing sufficient lighting and resolution to obtain a clear image of the ariway. The working model created in the lab was used by the medical team to successfully intubate a manikin.
